How we vet employers
TrustedRoles exists because the job market is full of bad-faith listings. Here's exactly how we keep them off.
1. Identity & domain verification
Before any employer can publish a post, they have to attest that they represent the company and prove control of the company domain (we send a verification email to hiring@, careers@, or founders@, with a DNS TXT method as backup). Unverified employers can only hold drafts. Staffing agencies and resume-collection mills are blocked.
2. Salary is required, not optional
Every post must include a real salary range — minimum and maximum, in the local currency. "Competitive" is a refusal, and we won't publish refusals. A simple market check is shown next to every job so you can sanity-check the offer.
3. The 7-day response guarantee
Every application starts a 7-day timer. The employer's dashboard sorts applicants by deadline, with red/yellow/green badges. Employers who consistently ghost applicants lose their account. The Responsiveness Score on every employer's page is public — you'll know before you apply.
4. No PPC. No bidding. No sponsored sort.
Other job search sites charge employers per click, which incentivizes posting jobs that don't exist (so they capture more "candidates" to sell). We charge a flat monthly fee, period. No employer can pay to outrank another. Search results are sorted by freshness and match strength to you — not by who paid the most.
5. No dark patterns.
No "sponsored" jobs disguised as organic. No email captures behind every click. No autoplay video. No begging modal. No "complete your profile to apply." If you came here for work, you should find work.
